Chris Kidd


Chris Kidd is Senior Legislative Advisor for Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where he supports engagement between USDA, Members of Congress, and state and local partners across multiple mission areas.

Chris joined the USDA Office of Congressional Relations in 2026. Prior to joining USDA, Chris served as the Director of Economic Development for the University System of Georgia, where he led statewide workforce and business development initiatives in partnership with the Georgia Department of Economic Development and the system’s 25 public colleges and universities. In this role, he managed key programs including the REBA grant process and USG FastTrack, delivering customized workforce solutions to support business recruitment, retention, and expansion.

Prior to serving in this role, Chris worked at the U.S. Department of Agriculture in the Office of Congressional Relations helping coordinate high-level engagements with Members of Congress. Other experience includes serving in the Office of the Governor of Georgia, where he supported operations and policy efforts.

Chris is a proud graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, where he earned his Master of Business Administration, and the University of Georgia, where he received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He enjoys cooking, traveling, and cheering on the Dawgs.
