Federal Register Notices

Federal Register notices are annually prepared to inform the public of the sanitary and phytosanitary standard-setting activities of Codex. The announcement of this, plus other notices that involve Codex can be found on the U.S. Codex Office section of federalregister.gov.

Public Meetings

U.S. Delegates to Codex committees schedule public meetings prior to their committee meetings to inform the public about the meeting agenda and draft U.S. positions. During these public meetings, delegates also receive comments from interested parties on Codex issues.

 Codex Committee on Pesticide Residues (CCPR)

The U.S. Codex Office is sponsoring a public meeting on August 26, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00pm ET. The objective of the public meeting is to provide information and receive public comments on agenda items and draft U.S. positions to be discussed at 57^th Session of the Codex Committee on Pesticide Residues (CCPR57) which will be held in Beijing, China, from September 7-12, 2026. 

• The public meeting will take place via video teleconference only. Documents related to CCPR57 will be accessible at the following link: https://www.fao.org/fao-who-codexalimentarius/meetings/detail/en/?meeting=CCPR&session=57.
• The U.S. Delegate to the 57^th Session of the CCPR invites interested U.S. parties to submit their comments electronically to the following email address: niman.aaron@epa.gov. Emailed comments should state in the subject line that they relate to activities of the 57^th Session of the CCPR.

Codex Committee on Food Import and Export Inspection Certification Systems (CCFICS)

The U.S. Codex Office is sponsoring a public meeting on September 10, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00pm ET. The objective of the public meeting is to provide information and receive public comments on agenda items and draft U.S. positions to be discussed at 28^th Session of the Codex Committee on Food Import and Export Inspection Certification Systems (CCFICS28) which will be held in Perth, Australia, from October 12-17, 2026.

• The U.S. Delegate to the 28^th Session of the CCFICS invites interested U.S. parties to submit their comments electronically to the following email address: uscodex@usda.gov. Emailed comments should state in the subject line that they relate to activities of the 28^th Session of the CCFICS.

Codex Committee on Milk and Milk Products (CCMMP)

The U.S. Codex Office is sponsoring a public meeting on September 17, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00pm ET. The objective of the public meeting is to provide information and receive public comments on agenda items and draft U.S. positions to be discussed at 11^th Session of the Codex Committee on Milk and Milk Products (CCMMP11) which will be held by correspondence, from September 29-October 29, 2026.

Codex Committee on Contaminants in Foods (CCCF)

The U.S. Codex Office is sponsoring a public meeting on September 29, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00pm ET. The objective of the public meeting is to provide information and receive public comments on agenda items and draft U.S. positions to be discussed at 19^th Session of the Codex Committee on Contaminants in Foods (CCCF19) which will be held in Cairo, Egypt, from October 19-23, 2026.

Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses (CCNFSDU)

The U.S. Codex Office is sponsoring a public meeting on October 5, 2026, from 1:00 to 3:00pm ET. The objective of the public meeting is to provide information and receive public comments on agenda items and draft U.S. positions to be discussed at the 45^th Session of the Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses (CCNFSDU45) which will be held in Nuremberg, Germany, from November 2-6, 2026.
